Slow-Release Fertilizer (SRF) is an improved variety of fertilizer which is developed through appropriate product design. It is unique by its chemical & physical properties, environmental safety & its stability against mechanical stress, hygrometry & temperature. It can be applied less frequently, making them more cost-effective and save time & labor. Hence, the necessity for SRFs with the release of nutrients over extended period of time is increasing continuously with population growth, particularly in developing countries. This book aims therefore to help policy makers & planners in this field by providing a complete account of all aspects of SRF & holding a pre-design of SRF manufacturing plant.

Muhammad Hasnan Sazzad was born on May 23, 1990. He is son of Muhammad Salim & Amena Begum.He completed his graduation in Applied Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, has immense knowledge on fertilizer technology & keen to open a new era of research worldwide. The growing dependency on agriculture in Bangladesh makes him inspired to write this book.
