Autorenportrait

Akua Opokua Britwum is Head, of the Centre for Gender, Research, Advocacy and Documentation, University of Cape Coast Cape Coast, Ghana. Her teaching, research and publications for the past 20 years cover gender and economic policy making, gender and labour relation, as well as informal economy workers. She is a joint author of the GLU Gender and trade unions Research Group's contributions in GLU/ILO publications of 2012 and an associate member of the GLU. / Sue Ledwith set up the MA International Labour and Trade Union Studies at Ruskin College, Oxford, UK, an associate member of the GLU. She has over 30 years' experience of teaching, research and publishing in the field, and her most recent book is: Gendering and diversifying trade union leadership jointly edited with Lise Lotte Hansen, Routledge, 2013. She is a joint author of the GLU Gender and trade unions Research Group contributions in GLU/ILO publications of 2012.
